- Part I: "The Things They Carried"

Tim O'Brien wrote of war very well when he wrote the book, "The Things They Carried," which was a book written off of a personal account of the Vietnam War. You are between a rock and a hardplace in war: you either live and come home with horrific memories to live with, or you die and cannot live to tell the account you faced in the war.

There are a lot of burdens that soldiers carry on them to keep them going whether they're positive, or negative aspects to them. Either way, each soldier has a story to tell, as shown with the author's book that he wrote. He not only told his account in the book, but he also dedicated the book to those he tried to tell the accounts they faced that couldn't tell their's because they died in the war. He wrote a chapter called: "How to tell a True Warstory;" he made a point that you had to read between the lines to understand. This is how you tell a true warstory: ironically, even with the chapter entitling as such, you can't. You can't tell a true war story because you are missing pieces of needed information: the stories of the veterans that never had an opportunity to tell their's; they're either alive and are horrified to say anything, or they're dead and can't do so.
I love that book with a passion, because it made me see how much pain a veteran suffers, dead or alive.

- Part II: Veterans' Dedications

This photo is dedicated to the following:

1.) To the heroic veterans that fought for the innocent and the justified parties in all wars

2.) To the heros behind the scenes of wars that have helped and saved lives as the heroic veterans did

3.) To the veterans that have told their story, to the veterans who leave theirs out and have a story, and to those who have no voice to tell their story and leave a piece of history out for us to know of

- Part III: Dedication to Veterans Relevant to this Historical Photo

*A special dedication for the reasoning behind this photo: to all the American Soldiers who fought in Europe during World War II; to those who came home...and to those who stayed and ended up buried in this cemetary*
